When I first arrived in Montana I began experimenting with different techniques. One of the techniques I began playing around with involved using a super slow shutter, a small aperture, and then sweeping my camera. More often than not this abstract technique was applied to trees, but in other instances I tried this technique with wheat, grass, bushes, plants, and even reflections. I liked the results so much I practiced it over and over again.
I'm not sure if this technique has a name or not, but but it something I continue to explore. In this week's installment of 20+ photos am featuring some of those photos here. They aren't especially valuable for stock photography purposes, but I do enjoy the results and some people have purchased them as prints. But that's not the reason I make them.
