Montana photos and authored article appear in Montana magazine

In the May/June 2017 issue of Montana Magazine you will see two articles written by yours truly, including many of my Montana photographs, too. One of the article is above and it features the scenic drive through "the Gap" from Big Timber, Montana to Eddie's Corner. It is part of Montana Magazine's annual summer "between the parks" issue. It is another example where a Montana photographer needs to be more than a photographer but also a writer too in today's world of photojournalism.

It's no secret I love the back roads and hidden trails of Montana. And while the route through Judith Gap is not necessarily hidden, it certainly is a route tourists might neglect when they drive from Yellowstone National Park to Glacier National Park. It's one reason I pitched my rural Montana photos and story idea to the editors at Montana Magazine. Replete grain elevators, beautiful scenic vistas, ghost towns, and red barns, the drive through "the Gap" is hard to beat.

If you have not already picked up a copy of the May/June 2017 issue of Montana Magazine I urge you to do so now. And if you are a resident of Montana and not already a subscriber I urge you to support Montana's premier magazine and get yourself or someone else a subscription.
