My photo of a train chugging through Rudyard, Montana appears on the cover of the February 2016 issue of Rural Montana magazine. → Buy a Print

The February 2016 issue of Rural Montana magazine includes my photo of BNSF Railways train on the cover and two more photos of mine inside. The shot on the cover was taken in downtown Rudyard, Montana as the train chugged on through town on a snowy winter day back in 2010. There is another photo of a BNSF Railways train from my collection of industrial photography on the inside, too, along with the photograph of a wild horse on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation near Glacier National Park. This is the fourth time my photos have been published in (or on) Rural Montana magazine.

For those who are unfamiliar with Rural Montana magazine, it is the official publication of the Montana Electric Cooperatives' Association. If you are are a resident of Montana and have power provided by one of the 25 consumer-owned electric distribution cooperatives in the state of Montana you likely receive the magazine in the mail. Electric cooperatives in Montana provide electric service to more than 400,000 people in the state. That's nearly half the population of Montana. And with over 120,000 readers, Rural Montana magazine has the largest circulation of any magazine in the state of Montana.

I have a long working relationship with Rural Montana magazine and I hope it will continue through 2016 and beyond. The goal, of course, is to be published on the cover of the magazine many more times to come.
