20+ photos of Meagher County

A cowboy rides his horse near Black Butte north of White Sulphur Springs through the lush green rolling hills of Meagher County, Montana.

It's no secret I have a special place in my heart for Meagher County in Montana. From 2010 to 2013 I spent a great deal of time there. And in doing so I got to know many of the good people who live there. So it was only natural that I would spend some time making Montana photos of this hidden gem of a county.

White Sulphur Springs and the rest of Meagher County is nestled between the Little Belt, Big Belt, and Castle Mountains in central Montana. It is a quiet, unassuming place that is rich in agriculture and steeped in history. The photos you see below capture much of the essence of the county. But to truly enjoy this wonderful place you really should visit it yourself. I wrote extensively about White Sulphur Springs in my blog here. And this month I have an article in Montana Magazine profiling the roads to and from Meagher County.

This is my gallery of 20+ photos of Meagher County.
