Montana is home to more sparsely populated counties than any other state

I saw this map published online recently and found it interesting to see how many "sparsely populated counties" were located in Montana. I mean, anyone who lives in Montana (anyone outside of Missoula and Billings at least) knows it is a sparsely populated state. Though it is the fourth largest state in the country, it only has one million residents. That's not many. And we like it that way.
